Reaching Goals Requires Some Bruised Knees & Skinned Elbows
Tackling your personal and professional goals has a lot in common with trying to score goals on the sportsball field.
In business (just like sportsball) success demands perseverance, dedication, and a strategic mindset. Consider yourself as the quarterback of your business team, leading the charge toward victory. You must develop a clear vision of your goals, devise a game plan, and rally your team together while also preparing for the blocks from the competition along the way.
Just as sportsball players endure bumps, bruises, and all levels of injuries during a match, you may also face setbacks and have to make sacrifices to earn your own goals. Embrace the challenges as opportunities for growth and learning. Keep pushing forward, working hard, and demonstrating resilience. Most games aren't won by 99-yard runs into the End Zone, it's more likely that you win your game by progressing yard by yard by yard. Each obstacle you overcome brings you one step closer to your goal.
Imagine yourself on the field tackling each obstacle with the same tenacity as a linebacker chasing down the opponent. When faced with adversity you must maintain focus, learn from failures, and adapt your strategy to what's happening on the field of play -- even if it differs from the strategy you were planning in your prep sessions.
Wins are not handed to you.
They are earned through hard work, dedication, and persistence.
