BYS 06/21/25 🟨 Make a mess, then make it amazing
Begin imperfectly so you can create something worthwhile over time.
Don’t wait for flawless conditions or ideas (they don't exist). Start with the rough, awkward version and trust that the clarity, quality, and brilliance will follow as you refine your work.
Make a messy first draft in today's Big Yellow Sticky...
Messy First, Magic Later.
Start a project like you're doing a cannonball into a swimming pool.
Just jump in, make a big splash, and get water everywhere.
Let your start be messy. Scribble ideas, try things that might not work, and accept that your first version won’t be pretty. That’s normal. The important part is getting something down that you can see, touch, and fix later.
Once you have that rough start, you have something to start refining and a first draft to build on. This is the time you find the good parts worth keeping and cut the rest. Bit by bit you'll turn chaos into clarity.
If you keep waiting for perfect, you’ll be waiting forever.
See you tomorrow with a brand new Big Yellow Sticky...
