When you’re in Listen mode, you’re in Learning mode.
When you ask someone a question, listen to their response. Fully. Don’t zone out and think about what you’re going to ask them next and don’t interrupt them halfway through their answer because you think you know what they’re going to say next.

Let the other person complete their response. Consider it. Then ask another question (and shut up ‘til they complete their response and repeat the process).
