Wrap up unfinished tasks before you turn the page on your calendar.
Open loops silently drain your focus and create mental clutter. By finishing task and making choices you've left undecided you'll free up energy and create space for fresh ideas and achieve new goals.
Be a loop-closer in today's Big Yellow Sticky...
Tie-Up Loose Ends
These loose ends take up more mental space than you think.
You probably have a few things hanging over your head -- emails you meant to reply to, tasks you started but didn’t finish, decisions you’ve been putting off.
All of these open loops are loose threads that slow you down and keep part of your focus tied to the past. If you want to start the new month strong, you need to tie-up those loose ends.
Take a day to close those loops. Wrap up what you can, cross things off your list, and move on from the stuff that no longer matters. You don’t need to make everything perfect and there are always projects that carry over into the next month, but tidy things up enough so they're not in your way.
A fresh start feels a lot better when you’re not dragging a bunch of unfinished tasks along behind you.
See you tomorrow with a brand new Big Yellow Sticky...
