BYS 05/13/23 🟨 The Beginning of the End
The end of something old and familiar can be the start of something incredible and new.
I think that the conclusion of one thing leads us naturally into the beginning of something else. It's as simple as the shape of a circle.
Start at the beginning and read to the end of today's Big Yellow Sticky…
Is this the End? Or the Beginning?
I really like the simple image that accompanies today's post. I couldn't think of a better symbol for illustrating the idea that sometimes it's difficult to tell where one thing ends and another begins.ng new.
This can be true in so many areas of life -- from relationships to careers to personal goals. It may be difficult to see the potential for something positive when you're faced with the end of something familiar, but often times it's just a matter of shifting your perspective.
Let's say you've been working at the same job for years and have become comfortable with the routine and stability it provides. Suddenly, you receive news that your position is being eliminated. At first you may feel scared and unsure of what the future holds, but as you begin to explore new job opportunities and consider the skills you've gained from your previous job, you may find that this change opens up new doors for you. You may find a new job that pays better, has more room for growth, or simply offers a fresh start that you didn't even know you needed.
The next time you're coming to the end of a business contract period, the conclusion to a client marketing campaign, or even the end of a personal relationship draw a simple circle on a sheet of paper and think about how there really isn't a noticeable beginning or end to the shape you're looking at -- it just keeps going 'round and 'round -- just like the world keeps spinning, so do all the opportunities in your world.
Stop looking for the endings and start looking for new beginnings.
This is the end of today’s Big Yellow Sticky.
I’ll be back to start a new one tomorrow!
