Play Is Productive!
When you let yourself play, you give your brain the environment it needs to come up with fresh new ideas.
Pressure can quickly shut down creativity, but curiosity does the opposite -- it opens things up for innovative thinking.
When you explore without worrying about the outcome, you're more likely to make connections and discoveries that wouldn’t happen if you were just grinding through a task. That playful state isn’t wasted time. It’s playtime that often leads to your best work.
You don’t have to be silly or unprofessional to approach something with a sense of play. It just means staying open, experimenting, and following what catches your interest. Give yourself permission to try things without expecting perfection right away. The serious work will still happen, but if you let curiosity take the lead, that work is more likely to be interesting and effective (and maybe even a little fun!)
